Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas – Day 8
Today I write ‘Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas’ blog on a little bit of a Christmas high. I’m really starting to get into the season. Yesterday I was invited to go out to Bright Nights in Stanley Park, and ride the Christmas Train through 2 million illuminated lights. My friend, who I went with, didn’t know of some of the characters in the scenes, so today’s video is dedicated to you. This one is definitely a blast from the past.
The Bright Nights event is put on by and benefits the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, helping burn survivors and increasing fire and burn awareness and prevention. You can donate your $5.00 as I did, here. We’re now almost a third of the way through the 25 day campaign and again I ask you to join the cause and spread the word to everyone in your network. Let’s make a big difference together.

Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas – Day 7
Hi everyone! Happy 7th Day of ‘Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas’. I chose this video because one of my favourite actresses is featured in the video. Don’t judge me, you can’t help what the heart wants. The video is also doing well in the YouTube charts right now as well.
Today’s charity is one that I have supported for decades, as I am sure many of you have as well. In fact Jennifer Love Hewitt does a lot of work to support children. See we’re all on the same page here! Please donate your $5.00 for the day here, to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. I hope that Day 7 is the day when everyone jumps on board with ‘Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas’. I hope you continue to spread the campaign by posting a link to this blog on your Facebook, tweeting about it, and even leaving a comment below.

Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas – Day 6
It’s Monday, December 6th, 2010, and it also happens to be day 6 of ‘Tim’s 25 days of Christmas’. For those of you who are new to concept, on December 1st, I launched this campaign where everyday I will feature a Christmas video or song/carol, and I will also pick a different charity everyday to donate $5.00 to. I know $5.00 isn’t a lot of money, what good could that possibly do for their cause? The real aim is to challenge all of friends to do the same and donate up to $5.00 themselves. Now, I have over 700 friends on my Facebook network alone, imagine this was a perfect world and every single one of them picked up the torch and followed suit. All of a sudden that becomes a much more significant donation. Not to mention, if every one of those 700+ friends where to post this to their networks and challenge their friends to do the same. You see where I am going with this? $5.00 a day times 25 days only equates to $125 over the course of an entire month. For you it might only be $2.00 a day. The power comes in sharing your action with your friends and family and asking them to do the same.
So, I hope this has inspired you to follow along with ‘Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas’ and to match my donations. You’re a couple days behind, so I encourage you to go back to Day 1 and help make someone else’s Christmas a better one. Without further ado, Day 6.
This one goes way back, some of you may not even know or remember this one, but fortunately, you have a reboot to help educate you and catch you up. “Aaaaaaallllllviiiiiiinnnnnnn!!!!”
Day four’s charity was Big Brothers of Vancouver. Now I am never one to be accused of being sexy…wait….or was it sexist. Let’s be honest, either applies. Today, I will donate my $5.00 to Big Sisters of Vancouver. You can match my donation here. I hope you choose to donate as well today and for the other 19 days. Please leave me a comment letting me know that you are participating and then post this blog on your profile challenging your friends to pick up the cause.

Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas – Day 5
On the 5th Day of ‘Tim’s 25 days of Christmas’ I will give to thee… Ha! When was the last time you used the word “Thee”?? How about a little Boss for ya? That’s Bruce Springsteen for those of you who don’t know who the Boss is. If you don’t know who Bruce Springsteen is…then I can’t help you.
Today’s charity is one that Bruce Springsteen and many artists support themselves, Amnesty international. You can match my $5.00 donation here. We’re only on Day 5, so please feel free to catch up by donating to the previous charities from the past 4 days as well. Remember to share with your network and social circles.

Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas – Day 4
Day 4 of ‘Tim’s 25 days of Christmas’ features a song that seems fitting. “I don’t know if there’ll be snow, but have a cup of cheer!” I wonder if Burl Ives sang anything other than Christmas songs??
Today’s Charity is Big Brothers of Vancouver. You can match my $5.00 donation here. Thanks for joining in the Christmas Spirit and remember to share with your network.

Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas – Day 3
It’s the 3rd day of ‘Tim’s 25 days of Christmas’ and this one is a classic. What Christmas list would be complete without Boris Karloff’s classic, Mr. Grinch?!
Today, I have also chosen the Salvation Army to donate my $5.00 to. I encourage everyone to please match my donation here. Comments and sharing are definitely encouraged. You can do so here, or on Facebook or on Twitter. You can also look forward to another video and another featured charity tomorrow.
Happiest of Holidays,
Tim Rockey
