Day 24 of #Tims25Days of Christmas 2012

Happy Christmas Eve! It’s the 24th of December and the 24th Day of ‘Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas’.  If yesterday was all about taking the time during the holidays to remember those we’ve lost, then today will be all about appreciating those we are still lucky enough to have.

For me, I thank my Christmas Stars that I sill have my Mom around to enjoy the holidays with.  There was once a Christmas where things were very scary; a feeling and experience that I hope you can all avoid as long as possible.  Several years ago, my mother was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer and there were a lot of questions and uncertainties.  Looking back on that time, I still cannot imagine what life would have been like had the outcome been different.  Now, six years later, my mom has recovered and is still cancer free.  You had better believe that I’m thankful.  I know that many can’t say that they are as lucky, and my heart goes out to them.

In an effort to support those that fight this terrible disease, and to comfort those that have been affected by it, today we feature the BC Cancer Foundation as the Charity of the Day. As I have with every day this month, I have donated $5.00 and today it goes to this amazing organization.  You too can be a part of the hope by clicking here to contribute: http://bccancerfoundation.com/

Since I dedicated this ‘Tim’s 25 Days of Christmas’ post to my mom, I’ll also feature a Christmas song by one of her favourite artists.  As you watch this video, I hope you take a moment to appreciate the loved ones that you have around you.

Thanks for joining us on this beautiful Christmas Eve 2012.  If you are able, take a moment to Share this with your network and help bring the resources needed to finally beat this disease. One more day in the campaign…so we’ll see you tomorrow.

Happiest of Holidays,

Tim Rockey
